Today, 20% of “new seniors” living in York Region have no knowledge of English and 36% speak a mother tongue other than English at home – and, the diversity of York Region is increasing rapidly. These seniors and their caregivers have cultural and language expectations that are central to their quality of life. CHATS is evolving to meet these unique needs.
