Wellness Centre for Seniors and Caregivers – Our 5,000 sq. ft. centre in Aurora is the vibrant home of our Adult Day Program and Caregiver Support and Education Services (details below).
Adult Day Program – Participants enjoy a variety of social and wellness activities, the companionship of others, and lunch. Also provides a time-out for caregivers to re-charge their batteries or tend to other commitments in their lives.
Caregiver Support and Education Services – Our Caregiver Education Counselor, support groups, seminars, Wellness Centre Library, our online support services and in-home respite care can address your caregiving concerns, provide helpful advise and a much needed break.
Personal Care and Home Help – A certified Personal Support Worker will assist with personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing and meal preparation. Also available are light cleaning and laundry.
Meals on Wheels – A variety of nutritious and great-tasting meals delivered right to your door by a caring volunteer. Special dietary needs can be accommodated.
Transportation – Friendly drivers escort you to and from medical appointments, grocery stores and more.
Shopping Club – Visits to local malls with other seniors, with roundtrips provided by a friendly driver.
Lunch Out – Enjoy a healthy meal out and fun activities with other seniors.
Seniors Outreach – Seniors can look forward to regular volunteer visits, phone calls or social outings. Great for those who live alone – and/or allows caregivers to take some time to themselves. A free CHATS service.
Diversity Program – Seniors outreach programs and services specifically designed to meet the unique cultural and language needs of various diversity groups, including those who speak Italian, Chinese, Farsi, Russian and Tamil.
Telephone Reassurance – Gives peace of mind, as a CHATS volunteer gives you a friendly call on a regular schedule. A free CHATS service.
Lifeline Personal Response and Support Service – Seniors and their caregivers can feel more secure knowing support is close by. Is it time for a medical alarm?
Supportive Housing – Apartment-style housing in Stouffville and Richmond Hill for seniors, where assistance is provided when the client needs it.
